How to Duplicate CMS Site
Getting Started
If you want to create a copy of your existing CMS site for testing, development, or to use it as a template for a new project, the Duplicate Site feature is designed for this purpose. This article will guide you through the process of duplicating a CMS site inside your Dorik dashboard.
How to Duplicate Your CMS Site
Follow these steps to duplicate your CMS site:
- Go to your Dorik site dashboard and go to the CMS tab.
- Locate the site you want to duplicate, and click the Duplicate Site icon next to it.
- A popup will appear asking you to confirm the duplication, Click Yes.
- Once you click Yes, you’ll see a “Cloning in Progress” message. Please wait for a few moments, and then refresh the page to see the new site.
- After a minute please refresh the page, the duplicated site will appear in your dashboard with the a default name like ("Previous Site Name Copy").
- Click edit site into the duplicated site to start customizing it as needed. All original CMS collections, content, and design will be copied.
How to Duplicate Your CMS Site Using Remix URL
Follow these steps to duplicate a CMS site via Remix URL:
- Go to your Dorik site dashboard and go to the CMS tab.
- Locate the site you want to clone, and click the "Enable Remix URL" icon.
- Copy the generated Remix URL.
You can now:
- Paste it in your browser to create a new duplicated site for yourself.
- Or share it with a friend or teammate who can log into their Dorik account and use the URL to duplicate the site.
- Once the URL is opened in a browser, a popup will appear asking to clone the site.
- Click the Clone button. The cloning process will begin, and a “Cloning in Progress” message will be displayed.
- Wait for a few moments, then refresh the page. You will now see the duplicated site appear on the dashboard. The new site will be named: [Original Site Name] Copy
