How to Configure Custom Domain from Cloudflare.

This article will cover how to integrate a domain from Cloudflare into your website. Follow all the instructions in the sections below to proceed.

Custom Domain Integration



Follow the steps below to add a Custom Domain to your site.

Go to your website dashboard
Click on Custom Domain under the Styles and Settings Panel on your left
Step 1: Add your domain name
Step 2: Copy the values from the Type records: A and CNAME, and paste them into your DNS records.

Cloudflare Domain Integration



To integrate a custom domain from Cloudflare to your website, follow the steps given below:

Log in to your Cloudflare account and visit your domain dashboard.



Visit the SSL/TLS page from the left-hand panel




Ensure the SSL/TLS encryption mode is in Full(strict) mode.




Next, go to the DNS option




:warning: Remove any existing A or CNAME records before you proceed to the next step

Click on Add record to add a new A record.




Go to your dashboard and open the Add Custom Domain box and enter your domain name




Copy the VALUE from the Type A record




Go back to the Cloudflare screen and follow the steps for creating an A record:

Choose the Type as A
Type ‘ @ ‘ under Name
Paste the VALUE of the A record you had copied previously
Press Save




Now, to create a CNAME record, press Add record again.




After you add a new DNS record, follow the instructions below:

Choose the Type as CNAME
Type ‘www’ under the Name input field
Input your domain name, under Target, excluding the www in the prefix. E.g., mydomain.com




Go back to your dashboard and click on Connect Domain to finish connecting your domain.
