# Verifying your site on Google Search Console

Follow the steps to verify your site on Google Search Console:

- Go to [https://search.google.com/search-console](https://search.google.com/search-console)
- Click on `+ Add Property` on the top-left of your screen under the Google Search console logo
- Paste the link to your site
- For verifying ownership, expand the HTML tag option
- Copy the `meta tag`
- Go back to your site
- Click on **Design and Pages** under the Styles and Settings option
- Click on **Site Settings** on your left
- Go to the Advanced tab on the editor
- Expand the Header code option
- Paste the meta tag on the box
- **Publish** your site
- Go back to Google Search Console and click on **Verify**
- Your ownership will be verified by Google Search Console

4. For verifying ownership, expand the **HTML tag** option
5. Copy the **meta tag**

6. Go back to your site
7. Click on **Design and Pages** under the Styles and Settings option
8. Click on **Site Settings** on your left
9. Go to the **Advanced** tab on the editor
10. Expand the **Header code** option
11. Paste the **meta tag** on the box
12. **Publish** your site

13. Go back to **Google Search Console** and click on **Verify**
14. Your ownership will be **verified** by **Google Search Console**
