# Margin & Padding (Spacing)

### How the spacing works? 

Our spacing follows css box model. So the margin is applied outside of the border. And padding applied inside the border.

### Updating Margin & Padding (Spacing)

Open the editing modal of the component by clicking [ **Edit Icon**](https://help.dorik.com/en/article/builder-basics-1vmc59h/#1-control-icons) then go to "Styles" tab. Then expand the "Margin & Padding" accordion. Then enter desired value to update the spacing.
