# How to edit Robots.txt

# Getting Started

In this article, we will demonstrate how you can **edit a Robots.txt file** on your **CMS Site**. Follow the steps in the next sections to learn how to edit a Robot.txt file.

# Edit Robot.txt

To edit the Robots.txt file, follow the steps given below:

- Go to the `Site Settings` option
- Go to the `Advanced` tab
- Expand the `Site Settings & SEO` option
- Edit the `Robots Text` field
- Click the `Submit` button
- **Publish** your site

1. Click on the **Site Settings labeled Gear (⚙️) icon** from the left panel of the site dashboard.

2. From the site settings modal click on the `Advanced` tab

3. Unspan the `Site Settings & SEO` option

4. On the **Robots Text** field, add your robots text code or edit them and then hit the `Submit` button.

5. **Publish** the site to make it live.
